Do i have a broken thumb?

ok, so two days ago i fell of this guys skateboard really late at night (i know bad idea)... and ever since my left thumb and the area underneath it (like around the far left palms) have been painfull, and extremely swollen, and my thumb hurts when i try to move it. i went to the docters and he said i probably broke it and that i should go get an x-ray. so at the hospital when the radiologist looked at my results and said it was indeed a fracture, and the other radiologists agreed with her. but she had to send it to a different for a doctor to make sure BUT that doctor said it was not broken. so now imm all confused is it broken or not?? its bright purple and black and still icky and swollen and mishapen. what do you think is wrong?
