well really, that is only a cosmetic problem, so that is up to you. It will hurt temporarily, but the pain wont last forever. The only painful part of the procedure will be the shot, which only lasts a few seconds, and then you wont feel anything. And you may have some discomfort after the procedure. Is it medically necessary to get it fixed? No. The question is how bad do you want the gap closed? Is temporary pain worth it to you, or is the gap something you can live with?
