How do I become friends with, and hopefully date, a guy I don't really know?

I really like this guy in my economics cl. He is a year older than me. We make eye contact frequently in cl, and recently I built up the courage to walk over and talk to him before school. He sits alone in the morning so that helped a little. When it was time to go to homeroom, he apparently walked next to me until he reached his room, because before he left he said 'see you in economics' (I just umed that he would leave when we started to walk to homeroom). I found out, through talking to him, that we have some things in common and similar interests. I really enjoyed talking to him, and I wish I could do it everyday. I am very self conscious and have pretty low self esteem, i am crazy shy (I was head to toe shaking the entire time I talked to him). I am worried about being annoying, seeming desperate, stalkerish, and weird. He wrestles and, so far, I like everything i know about him. How do I get him to notice and want to talk to me more, and how can i talk to him and get to know him better without looking like a psychopath? I really, really like him.
